Welcome to the Eric Bannon State Farm Agent Office—proudly serving Mechanicsville, VA, and surrounding communities including Richmond, Highland Springs, Atlee, Henrico, King William, King and Queen, Hanover & more since 1999. With 37 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry, I’ve built my career on helping individuals and families make informed decisions and protect what matters most.

I began my career in auto insurance, where I saw firsthand the lasting impact serious accidents can have—both for those injured and for those held financially responsible. That experience continues to shape how I serve my customers today. My goal is to help you avoid the catastrophic consequences of being underinsured by making sure your coverage truly supports your life. My team and I take a relationship-focused, family-first approach—we’re insurance advisors, not salespeople, and we’re here to guide you every step of the way.

I’m a graduate of Virginia Tech with a degree in Finance, and I’m also a CPCU (Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter). My background allows me to confidently support customers with:

We proudly serve individuals and families throughout the counties of Hanover, Henrico, King William, and the City of Richmond, as well as communities connected to schools like Mechanicsville High School, Atlee High School, and Hanover High School. You can find our office in the Cherrydale Office Park across from the new Kia Dealer on Mechanicsville Turnpike, and we also offer virtual appointments for added convenience.

Outside of the office, my family and I love spending time outdoors. My wife and I have four boys, and we enjoy activities like riding motorcycles and ATVs, boating, camping at our rural property in Central Virginia, and traveling in our motorhome. We’re also big animal lovers—our home includes a Bernese Mountain Dog, Golden Retriever, and Jack Russell Terrier. When I’m not working or outdoors, you’ll likely find me following college football, especially Virginia Tech and LSU.

As a member of the Hanover County Chamber of Commerce, I’m proud to stay connected to and involved in the local community I’ve served for decades.
